John Rutter

John Milford Rutter (født 1945) er en britisk komponist og dirigent. Han er kommandør av den britiske imperieordenen.

Rutter er utdannet ved Clare College i Cambridge; her har han også arbeidet som lærer. Han har startet et eget profesjonelt ensemble, Cambridge Singers, som han har gjort flere plateinnspillinger med.

Komposisjonene og arrangementene til Rutter blir fremført over hele verden. Rutter er mest kjent for kirkemusikk, det meste forankret i den britiske korkulturen. Han har komponert og arrangert mange koraler, særlig julesanger, og han har komponert større korverk som Gloria og Requiem.
