English: Original Winnie-the-Pooh stuffed toys at the Donnell Library Centre in New York City. Clockwise from bottom left: Tigger, Kanga, Edward Bear "Winnie-the-Pooh", Eeyore, and Piglet. Roo was also one of them but got lost in the 1930s in an apple orchard somewhere in Sussex. Owl and Rabbit did not have plush toy originals.
Deutsch: Original Pu-der-Bär-Stofftiere im Donnell Library Centre in New York City. Im Uhrzeigersinn von unten links: Tieger, Känga, Eduardo Bär "Winnie-der-Pu", I-Ah und Ferkel. Roo war auch einer von ihnen, ging aber in den 1930er Jahren in einem Apfelgarten irgendwo in Sussex verloren. Eule und Kaninchen hatten keine Plüschoriginale. These are the actual Harrods stuffed animals purchased for Christopher Robin Milne in the early 1920's (the bear on August 21, 1921, the donkey on December 25, 1921, the rest between 1920 and 1928). Attempts by historians and collectors to identify the original designers of these toys have not been successful (e.g. Martin, K. (2010). Farnell teddy bears. Barnsley, England: Remember When/Pen & Sword.). |
