English: Photo taken on flight over Madrid Barajas Airport in 2005. Terminals 1, 2 and 3, at center-left of the photo, are connected. Terminals 4 and 4-satellite are the two large terminals near the right of the photo. Terminal 4 (which is 1.4km long) is near the top-right, and 4-s (1km long) is below it, between the two runways. Madrid Barajas has 4 runways. The 2 runways on the picture, 15R/33L and 15L/33R, are usually used for landings. Runways 18R/36L and 18L/36R are the two shown only partial on the right side of the picture. 18R/36L is the longest commercial runaway in Europe, measuring 4,350 meters long. Intercontinental and Non Schengen Agreement (UK,Ireland,etc) european flights arrive at T-4 Satellite. An underground automatic train connects T-4 Satellite with T-4 . Terminal 4 has 39 gates, 4-S has 26, and 1, 2, & 3 together have 42; there are in total 107 gates, plus dozens of remote stands. The new Real Madrid training camp is the isolated square on the top-center of the image, just above the acces highway.
